Turning Star donates a portion of its income each year to Medicins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders in support of their work in countries around the world regardless of politics, often on both sides of a war, and the International Campaign for Tibet to support the vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama that peace and dialog is the only successful and permanent way to end conflict in the world. Turning Star supports the philosophy that helping others is the best way to help oneself, in the altruistic sense, because as we help to bring peace into the world, the world we live in will be peaceful. Turning Star also supports local theater companies in the New York City area, and has an employee grant-matching program.
