Turning Star, Inc. is a small privately owned company that manufactures various types of flame retardants for use in industrial applications as well as fabrics and decorations. In addition to being a manufacturer, we are a full-service company, providing treatment, testing, certification, and consultation.

Started in 1998, our belief has been that the intent of fire prevention and fire codes are very simple. We saw that a large portion of what we provide to our clients is information and education to people encountering fire prevention codes for the first time, or new and evolving fire codes.

We conduct our business in a way that is respectful and supportive of our clients, providing them with the best service we can. We recognize the synergy and interdependence of our relationships with our clients, as well as our vendors. We operate with the assumption that everyone is genuinely good.

Primary Staff

Tom Andrews, President

Tom started Turning Star with Lora Nelson in 1998, who left the company recently to follow other pursuits. Tom still oversees many jobs, and is the main contact for mills, dealers, scene shops and flame proofing companies.

Christine Conley, Sales and Operations

Christine recently joined Turning Star from Boston, and has quickly become a key member of our team.

Stacia Blanchette, Accounting and Human Resources

Stacia joined us in early 2006 as the Administrative Assistant and has become the one who keeps all the paperwork in line. She is active in her local Parents Association at her daughter's school.
